I agree that when the most pressing activities are those that everyone enjoys, it's nice. But I'm more prone to say, "life is pretty different" instead of "life is pretty good"

Like you said to eloquently - dragging a tree down Dundas is a different kind of adventure. Everyone has highlights to their lives. If you can find your moment to tie flies, whether you're in backwoods Maine or downtown Toronto, life is pretty good, er, different.
