Hey Stacey,

As I'm sure your mom has probably mentioned to you, I suffer from the same condition to an equally frustrating extent. I imagine she has also told you that I've had multiple surgical procedures, including a very extensive one involving a septoplasty and a severe turbinate reduction, and that none of these have been particularly helpful.

My ENT doctor sounds better than yours, but he doesn't seem to have been able to do much more, and he had the same kind of "You need to volunteer openly..." attitude about surgery.

I haven't been consulting with any alternative medicine practitioners, but what I have just done is secured a reference to a different ENT doctor, from whom I am hoping for better things. I would particularly like to receive more detailed diagnostic procedures, as I am really sick of this shooting in the dark approach - I had three turbinate reductions, none of which did anything, and the ENT I'm with now wanted to do a fourth one. Something doesn't work three times, and the conclusion reached is that it ought to be done again?!

So I will continue to try to cover off bases in Western medicine, and you do this whole Eastern thing, and let's keep each other abreast of whether or not anything works.
